Yes, We are. Every product within its PCBA and plastic housing is entirely independent R&D by Emdoor Info company in Emdoor ’s Alibaba shop: Emdoor Information LTD.,.
Only our cost of the plastic mold(tooling) R&D fee is more than USD 1.6 million, just for sound quality rugged products. We have many agents & distributors in other Alibaba shops. We are the source of their rugged products, some of what they sell.
We are particularly strong in the ODM (Original Design Manufacturers) area. Our advantage there is our investment in R&D. 60% of our staff work in R&D capacities, we have some outstanding talent, and our R&D investment is significantly higher than the industry average. We can design any product, on spec or cooperation with customers, and then produce rugged prodcuts.
We have two services models, one is OEM/ODM service, which is with the customer’s brand based on our standard rugged products, and the other provides customization service according to the customer’s demands, which include appearance design, structure design, mold development, soft & hardware development, technical support, etc. Many famous brands are our customers, such as CATERPILLAR of the USA.
We will offer PI with detailed product specs and delivery times for our standard products once we get a PO from a client. For the customized project, we will have an R&D contract agreement that covers the entire process from design to development, final specifications, all the testing and approvals, and the scheduling.
We have been engaged in the R&D and production of rugged products for 17 years within the
industry, and we have over 800 workers till now, of which R&D employees are more than 60%. Our factory covers 5000 square meters. There are three self-developed product lines:
1) Rugged PC Product Series: Rugged handheld (4’’/5’’/6’’), Rugged tablet (7’’/8’’/10’’/11.6’’/12.2’’), Rugged notebook (11.6’’/12.2’’/13”/14’’/15.6’’).
2) Industrial Computer Rugged Product Series: Heavy-duty panel PC (8’’/10’’/12’’/15’’), Light-duty panel PC (10’’-21’’), Industrial Fanless PC Box.
3) Medical Treatment Rugged Product Series: Medical PDA, Medical tablet, Digital medical display terminal, etc.
A 1-year warranty is ensured from the date of delivery. Free repairing is available for functional
problems of non-artificial damage, otherwise, that will be charged.
Once you have after-sales need, our FAE employees will provide remote technical support & send maintenance materials first, we can also send FAE employees to the customer’s place to repair depending on the situation, or the customer can directly send the damaged products back to Hongkong city where Emdoor has a maintenance center there, they will be repaired and send it out quickly.
